Indian Lake Local Schools will hold several concerts over the Christmas season. These events will all be held in the Indian Lake High School auditorium:

Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. – Fall Chorale Concert featuring grades 6 through 12

Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. – Third Grade Mini Musical “Home for the Holidays”

Thursday, Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. – Holiday Band Concert featuring grades 6 through 12

Sunday, Dec. 20 at 4 p.m. – The Messiah featuring the combined choirs of Indian Lake, Bellefontaine and Ben Logan High School along with a community choir. Tickets for this event are $5 for adults and $2 for students/seniors.

The other events are free and open to the public. Donations to the Indian Lake Music Department will be accepted.

The Lucky Lakers 4H group is accepting new members. The next meeting will be at 2 p.m. on Dec. 5. Meetings take place at Galilee Lutheran Church, 301 Lincoln Blvd., Russells Point. 4H-age children are 3rd graders and older. A debate between 5th Ohio State Senate district candidates Matt Huffman of Lima and John Adams of St Marys will be held at 7 p.m. Dec 8 in the main auditorium on the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center campus, 2280 state Route 540, Bellefontaine. This will be an open forum, and questions from the audience will be allowed. Those intending to ask a question are advised to write the question ahead of time.

Logan County Libraries Christmas Toy Drive: New unopened items can be dropped off at any library location – Bellefontaine, DeGraff, Lakeview, Rushsylvania, West Liberty, West Mansfield. Drop off deadline, Thursday, Dec. 10 by 8 p.m.

The ILHS Junior Class is holding the second annual Quarter Auction on Thursday, Dec. 3, in the Auxiliary Gym. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the bidding begins at 6 p.m. You may enter by the Superintendent’s Office or the Auditorium. Tickets are $10 and a limit of 200 will be sold. Flu shots are available at the Logan County Health District during regular immunization clinics. These clinics are held every Thursday morning from 9-11 a.m. In addition on the first and third Thursday of the month there are late clinics available from 2-6 p.m. Please call 937-651-6186 for further information and to register for your flu shot.

The Logan County Art League holds an Open Studio 7-9 p.m. on the 2nd and 3rd Monday of each month so people can bring in their visual arts projects to work on among like-minded artists. Try new things, gain direction, get encouragement and explore. It will be a safe place to share ideas and get inspiration. It is open to anyone in the arts, at any level, and in any media. There will be several experienced artists on hand to help, so beginners are welcome. Just bring your project and your supplies and join us. There is no cost.

Logan/Champaign Counties Survivor of Suicide (SOS) Support Group for those bereaved by suicide will meet 6:30-8 p.m. the 2nd Thursday of each month at the MHDAS Board, 123 N. Detroit St., West Liberty, with topics and events planned for each month.

The Indian Lake United Christian Services Food Pantry at the Municipal Building, 433 state Route 708, Russells Point, offers food assistance to all residents of the Indian Lake School District on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursdays of the month. The Food Pantry is staffed entirely by volunteers and operates solely with donated funds and food.
