Huntsville and Indian Lake Youth and Indian Lake Middle School Club Soccer Sign-Ups are Wednesday, May 2, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, May 5, from 10:30 a.m. to noon and Tuesday, May 8, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. All sign-ups are in the Indian Lake Elementary cafeteria. First year players, birth year cutoff is 2013 (age 5) to register. Payment is due upon registration. Please bring a copy of child’s birth certificate. Huntsville Only: Due to time constraints with placing the uniform orders, these will be the only dates for sign-ups this year. We will be wearing the same uniforms as last season. We will order uniforms for players as needed.

Miami Grange in DeGraff will host a Pancake and Sausage Breakfast Saturday, April 21, from 7:30 to 11 a.m. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. There will be a plant sale that day to benefit Logan County Vets to DC. The next Breakfast will be held June 16.

Indian Lake Elementary first graders will present Wing It! on Thursday, April 12 at 7 p.m. in the Indian Lake High School Auditorium. The baby birds are getting bigger and it’s time for them to leave the nest and try to fly. But not this batch of nesters. They have decided they like their snug little nest. Why leave home when it’s so nice and safe inside? Eventually all the other birds including the rapping raptors, humming hummingbirds, honking geese and more try to convince them to leave the nest and soar. ILES music teacher Pamela Thayer will direct. This event is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Donations to the IL Music Department will be accepted.

Indian Lake area residents 55 and older are invited to a Senior Citizens Appreciation Breakfast on Friday April, 13th at the Indian Lake High School at 9 a.m. It’s a chance to chat with Superintendent Rob Underwood and connect with high school staff and students. There will be a performance by the ILHS Vocal Jazz Ensemble and building tours will be offered.

Calvary Christian School Color Run, a 5K for all ages, will be held Saturday, May 5, at Southview Park in Bellefontaine. In this untimed event, participants get blasted with color as they run, walk or skip through the course. Afterward, a party will include music,concessions and a massive color throw. Entry fee is $10 and all donations go to CCS student aid. Each participant kit includes entry intothe race and a T-shirt. First 100 registrants receive a free color powder packet to be used at the color party. The start line will open at 10 a.m. Come early for the pre-race party with music and fun. The “Top of Ohio” chapter of Mended Hearts will meet Thursday, April 12, at 6 p.m. in the conference room on the 1st floor near the cafeteria at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. Karen Sorreles of the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center will talk about “Progressive Muscle Relaxation & Imagery.” Light heart-healthy refreshments will be served. Mended Hearts is a national non-profit support organization for those of any age with heart problems and heart disease, their family members and caregivers. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will conduct an “About Boating Safely” class from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on April 14, at the Indian Lake Eagles post, 14011 Collingwood Ave., Lakeview. Perennial Swap at the Knowlton Library, Saturday, May 12. Swap will begin promptly at 11:05 am. Please have items labeled and at the parking north of the Library at 11 am. If raining the swap will be held in the AcuSport Community Room inside the Library. Perennial are not limited to flowers and participants may swap for equal numbers of items brought to the swap.

Need a tax form from the IRS or State of Ohio or RITA or one of the other forms? Using your Library card, log on to Computer Express 15 and automatically opens to a page with tabs for all of the tax websites. Select the tab you need. Find the form you need. Women who have experienced infertility or miscarriage, are undergoing fertility treatments, or are considering adoption are invited to a monthly support group that meets at Memorial Hospital. HOPE, an independent, peer-led, female-only support group provides an opportunity to share information, discuss sensitive issues, or just listen to others. Meetings are confidential, unbiased and planned to provide support and comfort. The Food Pantry of Wake Up the World Ministries is open the last Friday of each month from 4 to 6 p.m. to individuals and families in Logan County needing food and who qualify under the Second Harvest Food Bank criteria. The church is at the former Northeastern Elementary, 600 Brown Ave., Bellefontaine. Qualified individuals and families can secure three days of food, including veggies, meats and canned goods, by entering the church’s back entrance. Overeaters Anonymous meets at 10 a.m. each Monday at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 1505 S. Main St., in Bellefontaine. This meeting is open to anyone who wants to stop eating compulsively. The Logan County Art League holds an Open Studio 7-9 p.m. on the 2nd, 3rd and 4rh Monday of each month so people can bring in their visual arts projects to work on among like-minded artists. Try new things, gain direction, get encouragement and explore. It will be a safe place to share ideas and get inspiration. It is open to anyone in the arts, at any level, and in any media. There will be several experienced artists on hand to help, so beginners are welcome. Just bring your project and your supplies and join us. There is no cost.

Logan/Champaign Counties Survivor of Suicide (SOS) Support Group for those bereaved by suicide will meet 6:30-8 p.m. the 2nd Thursday of each month at the MHDAS Board, 123 N. Detroit St., West Liberty, with topics and events planned for each month.

The Indian Lake United Christian Services Food Pantry at the Municipal Building, 433 state Route 708, Russells Point, offers food assistance to all residents of the Indian Lake School District on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Thursdays of the month. The Food Pantry is staffed entirely by volunteers and operates solely with donated funds and food.

The Logan County Health District is offering flu shots for all ages during the regular Immunization Clinics every Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. and the 1st Thursday of the month from 2 to 6 p.m. Most insurances are accepted.

TB testing is done 8:30 a.m.-noon and 1:30-4 p.m.on Mondays and Tuesdays. The charge is $20 cash, or check with ID. Most Ohio Medicaid plans are accepted.
