WL-S Peterson breaks sister’s record


Jamie Peterson, 6’4” senior volleyball player at West Liberty-Salem High School, broke the school’s career kill record of 1,229 set by her sister Becka Peterson. Going into the match on Sept. 14 against Southeastern, Jamie had already totaled 1,200 career kills. Against Southeastern, Jamie earned 36 kills, for a total of 1,236 kills to date. Jamie is second in the state with a hitting percentage of .547, tied for first in the state for kills per set (6.8), and has an incredible kill percentage of 63.7 percent.
