Indian Lake High School Seniors of the Month for October are Terrin Bok and Collin Coburn. Here are their comments.

Terrin Bok

Parents: Melissa and Jason Zeigler, Carl Bok

Address: Lewistown

School Activities and Awards: Marching Band, Marching Band President, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Spanish Club, Solo and Ensemble, National Honor Society, NHS President, Key Club, Science Club, Senior Class Treasurer and United Way Youth Allocations Committee

If I were principal for a day: I would let the teachers take a break and send the students to the gym for a talent show like we had in Elementary School.

Favorite school memory: My favorite school memory is spending time with Mrs. Keykens each day. She is always kind and funny. Listening to her talk about her grandchildren is amusing.

People who have been an inspiration to me: include my aunt, Kolby Kinninger, Mr. Steinbarger, Mrs. Scheiderer and Mr. Fauley

Lately I’ve been reading: Playing Dead, a fictional novel by Julia Heaberlin

My advice to parents: My advice to parents is let your children be their own person, have their own opinions and make some of their own decisions. Inspire individuality!

My biggest regret: I regret keeping to myself and being afraid to make friends with upperclassmen.

Next year: I will hopefully be studying Chemistry in South Carolina at Furman University, taking the first step to becoming a pediatrician.

Collin Coburn

Parents: Dave and Lisa Coburn

Address: Lakeview

Activities and Awards: Football, Basketball, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Honor Roll and United Way Youth Allocations Committee

If I were principal for a day: I would eliminate classes on Wednesdays.

Favorite School Memory: My favorite memory is beating Benjamin Logan to go 10-0 during last year’s football season.

People who have been an inspiration to me: include my mom and dad, Coach Starr and Coach Maddox

Lately I’ve been reading: Make Your Bed by Admiral William H. McRaven

My advice to parents: Trust your son or daughter to make the right decision.

My biggest regret: I regret caring what other people in high school thought about me.

Next year: I will be attending an undecided university to study an undecided major and continuing my athletics.
