The Grove: A Place for Community
Tai Chi – Wednesdays @ 5:00 PM – Tai chi is a Chinese exercise system that uses slow, smooth body movements to achieve a state of relaxation while also strengthening the cardiovascular and immune systems. It is an excellent form of exercise for seniors, to help with strength and balance, stress relief and is both an aerobic and weight bearing exercise.
Community Bible Study – Thursdays @ 7PM – Community Adult Bible Study going through the Gospel of John. This will be an interactive, discussion-based study for people of all levels and understanding of Scripture. Men and women welcomed!
Lego Club: Saturday, September 16 1:30-2:30 PM. An afternoon of creativity and fun with Legos!! Fun for the whole family. Pre-K through Jr. High.
WL-S 5th Quarter at the Grove: Friday, September 22nd, 9 PM-Midnight Junior High and High Schoolers, join us at The Grove for a fun 5th Quarter event after the Varsity Football Home Game against Greenon. We will have music, food, games and video games, ping pong, and tons of fun! Stop in when you want, leave when you want, enjoy a fun, and safe place to hang out with your friends after the game!
Parents are also welcome to stay and meet our volunteers!
#WLWOWFamily Fun Bike Ride: Saturday September 30th 5:30 PM-7:30 PM. Join us for a fun fall evening of bike riding in and around West Liberty! Adults, youth, and families are welcome. We will meet at Lion’s Park in the north large pavilion next to the playground at 5:30 PM. Several route maps will be made available based on distance you want to ride. Traffic will not be blocked off on the routes, so it will be ride at your own risk. We will plan to meet back up at the Pavilion 7 PM for snacks.
Book Banter: Monday October 4th, 7:00 PM – Book to read and discussed for the October meeting is “The Woman in the Photo” by Mary Hogan. Both men and women are invited. Discussion will be led by Reva Neer. Contact Reva Neer with any questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
