It was a great day on the beach for a pageant. Old Field Beach at Indian Lake was packed full of spectators this past Saturday for the Miss Indian Lake Pageant during the annual Beach Spectacular event.
As the votes were being tallied up, the famous 60’s hit song “Indian Lake” by the Cowsills was played on the loud speakers in the background. Fans, parents and family members waited anxiously for the judges’ decisions.
After all the votes were in from the four judges, (Kim Kelly, Tiffany Jacobs, Kourtney Long, Teri Frymyer) the winners were announced by Master of Ceremonies Ashley Boyd.
Madison Stevens took top honors and was crowned Miss Indian Lake 2017. Nicollette Dogue was voted First Alternate. Abigail Dogue was voted Second Alternate and also Most Photogenic.
In the Junior Miss Indian Lake Pageant, Autumn Miller was crowned Junior Miss Indian Lake. Crosley Lacher was voted First Alternate and also Most Photogenic. Keiko Shields was voted Second Alternate.
In the Little Miss Indian Lake contest, Kaylee Verena Frost took the crown and Lucille Louise Smith was voted First Alternative. Layla Stone was voted Second Alternative and also Most Photogenic.
Preslie Roberts was voted Miss Firecracker with Keiara Myiah Williams and Maddison Poynter voted First and Second Alternate respectively. Maddison Roberts was also voted most Photogenic and Preslie Roberts took the Best Costume award also.
In the Beach Toddler Contest Chloe Little won Beach Toddler and Best Dressed. Faith Irwin won First Alternate and the Personality category. Arabella Dirckson was Second Alternate and Jah’ Kari Minney won Most Photogenic.
For the Beach Baby Contest Khaleesi Newcomb was voted the Beach Baby winner and she also won Best Dressed. Lillian Page Parker and Robert Irwin were First and Second Alternate respectively. Vincent Maxwell Wallace won Most Photogenic and Alexis Scheper won the Personality category.
“All the contestants did a great job and showed great support for one another,” said emcee Ashley Boyd. It was a very fun and festive event for all.
