Logan County Retired Teachers met on June 13 at the Indian Lake Community Church. Storyteller Jim Bowsher of Wapakoneta told stories from his fascinating life. Six educational grants funded by Emerson Brown in memory of his wife, Lucy, were presented.

Emily Kirby and her parents, Kim and Joe Kirby, attended the meeting to receive the $1,000 scholarship given by the chapter. Carol Davis, scholarship chairman, told the group about Emily’s many qualifications and why she was selected. Emily will be attending Miami University in the fall. The group will meet in August with Wayne Wickerham presenting the program.
