The West Liberty Bicentennial Celebration Committee is seeking volunteers for the parade to be held on July 8 during the four-day Bicentennial Celebration. The parade will be split into four sections, each representing 50 years in West Liberty history: 1817-1867, 1867-1917, 1917-1967 and 1967-2017.

The event also will honor military veterans and those now in the U.S. military. Troop Banners will be displayed throughout West Liberty from May to November.

The Car and Motorcycle Show entries will be included the parade.

The parade will welcome early modes of transportation, horses, time-appropriate floats, old advertising, famous people, prohibition ladies, covered wagons, antiques, costumes, farm life, bands, old military equipment, etc.

For more information, call 937-465-6081, or visit the Facebook group Happy 200th Birthday West Liberty 2017.
