Indian Lake Middle School 6th graders learned about all parts of a local hospital and the variety of jobs available there as part of the Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce’s Speaker Series for 6th Grade Students.
Representatives from Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine presented the program.
Vice President of Operations Chad Ross showed a video overview of the hospital and talked about his role as an administrator dealing with building projects, insurance and other issues.
MRH Pharmacist Melannie Hunsicker told students about her education and how the pharmacy department serves patients, doctors and the public.
Finally, Brian Zak of Human Resources touched on all the other types of jobs available at the hospital and the pay ranges. He also discussed how many of the rules and expectations that pertain to hospitals. Mary Rutan is one of the largest employers in Logan County.
The Chamber’s Career Speaker Series for 6th Grade Students aims to encourage middle school students to explore local career opportunities.
