The 1st Church of God in West Liberty hosted a benefit dinner March 31 for the Wilson/Saylor family, which escaped a March 2 house fire, but lost everything in the home. The family members are Troy Saylor and Erin Wilson and their children, Isabelle, Lila and Iva Wilson and Emma and Maverick Saylor.

The insurance company provided a house trailer for them until their home is rebuilt. The local zoning board will allow the trailer on the property for a year-and-a-half.

The Modern Woodsmen of America reported it would match funds donated at the benefit up to $2,500.
